Toshiba LT170 Introduced in Italy New

Instead of creating headlines by announce a big release event, Toshiba decided to introduce it’s latest tablet in Italy and it is not share similar hardware specs like Asus Transformer Infinity. This one is currently tagged with model number LT170 and posses 7.0 inch screen with capacitive technology and 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. Deep inside, you won’t find any big names like Qualcomm, Texas Instrument, Nvidia. The Japanese company decided to use Freescale i.MX53 CPU to power this tablet. It is clocked at 1GHz and accompanied by 512MB RAM and 8GB internal data storage. Sound like a mid-range tablet huh?

If you have any objection with it’s internal memory, there’s no need to worry folks. That’s because this tablet is also packed with microSD card slot. Not to mention that it also feature micro USB port. Talk about weighs, this tablet is measured at 388 grams only, which is quite light for 7 inch model. According to Toshiba, the Li-Ion battery unit should be sufficient enough to power up the tablet for seven hours. In addition, you’ll also get an open access to new Android Market, Google Play.
Toshiba LT170 is also packed with smart ambient light sensor, which is able to automatically adjust the brightness level to your surroundings. Toshiba suggest that it should be available by the end of May and priced around 299 euros. This tablet also posses dual-cameras unit, 0.3 megapixels on the front and 2.0 megapixels on the back.
Well, seems like Toshiba decided to play safe this time. After their massive failure with Thrive 7, the company must be looking for a revamp this year. Clearly, this one won’t be considered as the company’s flagship tablet. So, let’s just wait and see how’s Toshiba will perform this year.
